What this tool is for

Find Your HRT helps you see which HRT options might suit your situation, so you have an informed starting point for a conversation with a doctor or another prescriber. It is an information and preparation tool. It is not a diagnosis, a prescription, or a substitute for clinical judgement.

Intended purpose

This is the plain statement of what this site is designed to do, and what it is deliberately designed not to do.

What it is intended to do

What it is not intended to do, and does not do

If something is urgent, do not use this site. For symptoms that need attention now, contact your GP, call NHS 111, or in an emergency call 999. This site cannot help in an emergency and is not monitored.

Where the content comes from

The content is based on current UK guidance, principally NICE guideline NG23 on menopause, British Menopause Society tools and guidelines, Women's Health Concern patient factsheets, and NHS information. Every source is listed on the site, with the version or review date it was taken from, so you can check anything for yourself.

Guidance is reviewed regularly and the site is checked against it for changes. The date of the most recent check is shown in the footer of every page. Guidance still changes between checks, and product availability in the UK changes more often than that, so a prescriber confirming against the current BNF or product information is always the final word.

This site is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced in partnership with NICE, the British Menopause Society, Women's Health Concern, the NHS, or any manufacturer. Naming those organisations describes where the underlying guidance comes from; it does not imply they have reviewed or approved this site.

No commercial interest

This site is free. It carries no advertising, has no sponsors, no affiliate links, and nothing is sold on it. No manufacturer funds it or has any input into it. Products are named only because a prescriber and patient need to be able to talk about specific products, and the same clinical option is often listed with several brands.

Using the site

You may use this site for your own personal use, or, if you are a clinician, as background reference alongside your own professional judgement. Please do not present its output as a clinical recommendation, or as coming from any of the organisations whose guidance it draws on.

The content, design, wording and code are protected by copyright and all rights are reserved. The repository is public for transparency, not for reuse. You are welcome to link to the site.

Accuracy, and the limits of it

Real care is taken to keep this accurate, and mistakes are corrected as soon as they are found. But no site can promise to be complete, current and correct for every person at every moment, and this one does not pretend otherwise. If you spot something wrong, please tell us through the feedback form; that is what it is there for.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from relying on this site as though it were personal medical advice. It is not, and it says throughout that it is not.

To be clear about what that does not cover: nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. UK consumer law does not allow those to be signed away, and nothing here attempts to.

Contact

Find Your HRT is independently run in the UK, and is not a company. The way to reach us is the feedback form on the site, which goes to a dedicated inbox that we read. It asks for nothing about you; if you would like a reply, include an email address in your message.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not remove any protection you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
